Sarah James is a writer and editor, based in Los Angeles. A graduate of Yale University and Middlebury College, she writes a culture column, called “Light and Air,” for Sojourners. For four years, she ran Clerestory Magazine, an arts journal, which published essays, poetry, photo stories, and interviews on being, becoming, and belonging. Under her direction, the magazine published seasonal online issues, a book-length print anthology, a podcast series, and profiles of renowned activists and writers. Her work can be found elsewhere in Relevant, Patheos, and The Porch, among others.
